George William Jones, Jr - 46 years old

On December 27, 2018, Deputies responded to 257 Goble Road, Thomasville, NC, in reference to a house fire. Upon arrival, the Fire Department was in the process of extinguishing the fire. Deputies advised they had to answer addditional calls but to call back, and they would return to the scene. After the fire was extinguished, the Fire Department located two victims inside the residence. Both victims were transported to Raleigh, NC for an autopsy.

Autopsy determined that George Jones had multiple gunshot wounds and had died before the fire.
