HOME SAFETY TIPS
• Most break-ins occur between 10AM and 3PM
• Never open the door if it is a stranger
• Primary location - Cash, Jewelry, Electronics, Silver and Guns
• Have a security and camera system (or look like you do)
• Post "Beware of Dog" signs
• Use timer for lights and TV
• Hide and secure valuables in a safe
• Utilize community watch and watch for unusual activity
• Don't share information on Social Media
• Have someone watch your home when you are away
• Inventory your valuables now (photographs and note serial numbers)
• Make sure to have a comprehensive for personal property such as jewelry
• Establish a lockable safe room (with phone, flashlight and weapon
• Request Law Enforcement to do home checks when you are on vacation
• Be familiar with the Castle Doctrine (defense habitation law)
CAR SAFETY TIPS
• Keep your car doors locked and windows closed
• Secure your car keys
• Park your care in a secure and well-lit area and stay aware of your surroundings
• Always conceal valuables in the trunk/cargo area/locked dash of the vehicle
• It's always best to remove valuables from the car
• Activate your car alarm
• Never leave your care unattended if it's running
• Always report suspicious activity

• Get into a highly visible location
• Stay alert and trust your instincts
• Watch for dangerous body language
• Avoid going places alone
• Don't look like an easy target
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Have a car key ready (can be used as a weapon)
• Keep emergency contacts
• Don't assist strangers alone
• Meet in public places when exchanging property with sellers and never go alone
• Never go with someone (even if threatened with a weapon)

• Call 911
• Be aware of your environment and any possible dangers
• Take note of the two nearest exits in any facility you visit
• If you are in an office, stay there and secure the door
• If you are in a hallway, get into a room and secure the door
• Getting away from the shooter is the top priority
• Have an escape route and plan in mind

• Treat unknown callers as potential scams and be alert
• Secure personal information
• Recognize phishing scams
• Monitor financial accounts
• Use strong passwords
• Use 2-factor authentication
• Review your Credit Report
• Never share your personal information with anyone
• Never send money to unexpected or unsolicited requests
• Use caution when callers use IRS or Law Enforcement as a lure
• Freeze your credit with the 4 major credit bureaus
