On November 04, 2013, at 1802 hours, Deputies were dispatched to a gunshot victim call at 1255-B Dykers Creek Road, Lexington, NC. Upon arrival, deputies wpoke with John Reizel, the reporting party. Mr. Reizel stated he had called 911 after being notified by a neighbor that Frank Ryan Bailey was dead. Mr. Reizel advised that he went to Bailey's apartment and discovered Bailey sitting in the recliner with blood coming from his head. Bailey had a small-caliber bullet wound to the left side of the head behind the left eye. No weapon was near Bailey. The victim's rifle was located in his bedroom with a bullet in the chamber, hammer cocked back. No signs of forced entry were noticed by responding deputies.
