On May 26, 1975, a call was received from Mrs. Van Conrad Jr., who reported two bodies lying in the roadway on Finch Farm Rd, off Old 29 near Rich Fork Creek. It was established that the victim, Clint Wilson, along with his brother, James Wilson, left for work around 0530 hours on May 16, 1975.

The victim was found on the dirt road that leads from his residence to the main highway, beaten to death with some blunt instrument. The victim's brother was also severely beaten.  Through the investigation, it was found that the victim was carrying in excess of seven thousand dollars ($7,000) in his wallet at the time of death, and the wallet is still missing.
